Gloucester Gaol

Gloucester have just closed their jail,
Now they’ve put it up for sale.
Open you can take a look,
Hurry, cause you’ll have to book.
The public form a queue with pride,
To take a sneaky peak inside.

I’ve heard, I don’t know if it’s right,
Of ghoulish goings on at night.
Screaming and ringing of bells,
Ghosts in corridors and cells,
Of men who lived in days of yore,
Robbers murders and more.

They say the waiting list is long,
I’m sorry, but I could be wrong.
Is this for real? I have my doubt,
Fighting to get IN, not OUT.
What is this country coming to?
Excuse me while I join the queue.

( The jail will probably become an Hotel like some others )
